SOC L1 Analyst – ArcSight Expertise Required

About the role

Cyber Gate Defense is expanding its Security Operations Center in Abu Dhabi and seeks a motivated SOC L1 Analyst with solid ArcSight experience. You will be the first line of defence, monitoring alerts, analysing incidents and ensuring rapid response to protect the organisation’s digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts from ArcSight and other tools on a 24/7 basis.
• Perform initial triage, distinguish false positives and escalate genuine threats.
• Document incidents, investigations and remediation steps in the incident management system.
• Prioritise and respond to alerts based on severity and potential impact.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting of security tools, escalating complex issues to L2/L3 analysts.
• Assist in generating daily and weekly security reports.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in a SOC environment.
• Proven experience with ArcSight SIEM for monitoring, alert analysis and basic correlation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or ArcSight ACIA/ACSA are a plus.
