Software Engineer – AI & Large Language Models

About the role

Technology Innovation Institute’s AI Research Center is expanding its Extreme‑Scale Language Model team. As a Software Engineer you will turn cutting‑edge large language model research into usable products and prototypes that serve a variety of AI‑driven applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop products and minimum viable products (MVPs) built on Falcon‑style language models.
• Fine‑tune large models for specific domains using techniques such as LoRA, prompt tuning or RLHF.
• Design evaluation pipelines and benchmarks to assess fine‑tuned model performance.
• Build and maintain backend services and front‑end interfaces that showcase model capabilities.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to transition models from lab prototypes to production‑ready solutions.
• Translate product requirements into model specifications and technical implementation plans.
• Optimize model inference speed, resource usage and overall user experience.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in applied AI software development.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, test and iterate on solutions.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
• Fine‑tuning methods: LoRA, prompt tuning, RLHF.
• Cloud and GPU environments.
