Software Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a motivated Software Engineer with at least five years of professional experience to join its development team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services following coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, system engineers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews, develop unit/integration/system tests, and support deployment and release activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on software development and application support experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities and experience working on Linux environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git or similar version‑control systems.
• Knowledge of object‑oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
