Software Test Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and aviation software testing to join our team in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain test cases from requirements and design documents.
• Execute manual and automated tests against functional, performance, and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with RTCA DO-178C in safety‑critical environments.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle: planning, execution, defect reporting, and completion.
• Oversee testing for embedded and avionics‑related systems.
• Mentor the team on test automation and CI best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA strategies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on system integration and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defence industry.
• Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.

Required skills

• RTCA DO-178C compliance knowledge.
• Rapita Verification Suite (preferred).
• Test automation tools.
• JIRA and the Atlassian suite for defect tracking and collaboration.
