Software/AI/Data Generalist – Remote Freelance Role

About the role

We are partnering with a leading foundational AI lab to build and refine a language model that can generate professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role requires an experienced software, AI, and data professional to create, evaluate, and document AI‑generated outputs across a range of technical artefacts.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain technical design documents, architecture decision records, and system architecture diagrams.
• Document data pipelines, ETL processes, and data‑quality validation test plans.
• Evaluate model outputs, write AI system readiness reports, and capture technical trade‑offs for stakeholders.
• Develop API specifications, integration guides, and developer onboarding materials.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or AI/ML practitioner.
• Proven ability to write technical design documents, data‑pipeline documentation, or API specifications.
• Direct experience evaluating AI model outputs and documenting system readiness.
• Expert‑level craftsmanship in documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong written communication.
