Sous Chef - Asian Specialty

About the role

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, part of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, is looking for a Sous Chef for its Asian specialty kitchen. The role covers kitchen operations, supervising the kitchen team and supporting menu planning and supply management.

Key responsibilities

• Be intimately familiar with all kitchen operations and step in to cover events when called upon.
• Prepare and cook a wide range of international dishes, including French, Italian and fusion cooking.
• Oversee kitchen team members: prepare, schedule and deliver training, manage performance and ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation rules.
• Keep kitchen safety standards up to date.
• Help with menu planning, inventory control and supply management.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and other Southeast Asian cuisines.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate kitchen team members.
• Experience developing menus, specials and standard recipes.
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, sanitation and safe food storage.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations, maintain food quality and work under pressure.
• Strong commitment to food presentation, quality and guest satisfaction.
