Sous Chef – Sports Bar

About the role

The Wynn Al Marjan Island resort is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead the kitchen operations of its Sports Bar. You will ensure high‑quality Western cuisine, maintain consistency, and support a dynamic team in a fast‑paced, 5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to culinary standards.
• Monitor resource consumption, optimise use of equipment, ingredients and inventory.
• Develop weekly set menus, monthly promotions and seasonal offerings in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with HACCP, health and safety regulations.
• Lead, coach and support kitchen staff to achieve high performance and teamwork.
• Address guest requests and feedback promptly to enhance the dining experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a 5‑star kitchen, with strong background in Western cuisine.
• Secondary school diploma; culinary qualification preferred.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and strong attention to detail for food quality and safety compliance.
• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules; must be at least 18 years old.
