Special Educational Needs Teacher – Kindergarten (AY 26‑27)

About the role

Al Mushrif KG Charter School, an American curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher for the academic year 2026‑2027. Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring lessons that cater to the full ability range and promote the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons and share resources.
• Work closely with parents, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to support each child’s development.
• Assess student progress using the Target Tracker system and provide regular feedback at parent‑teacher conferences.
• Implement the school’s Behaviour Policy, managing classes effectively and modelling positive attitudes and values.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, and run a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for whole‑child education and recent, consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
• High level of professionalism, respect for all members of the school community, and a solution‑focused attitude.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Target Tracker assessment software.
• Experience using CPOMS for parent communication and wellbeing monitoring.
