About the role

The Specialist Accounting and Control ensures robust controls over the accounting section’s operational activities, delivering high‑quality services to internal and external customers. The role focuses on identifying workflow issues, managing risk exposures, and supporting the development and testing of new banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Apply efficient controls to accounting operations and resolve workflow and production issues.
• Identify, discuss, and propose solutions for risk exposures with SSO management.
• Develop testing standards for new applications, products, or enhancements throughout their lifecycle.
• Analyse technical specifications of new applications to ensure they meet business and system requirements.
• Report and escalate issues of concern or risk to FCIS management.
• Act as independent controller during IPO processes, ensuring all control aspects are covered.
• Manage SSO‑related transactions on the Core Banking System, safeguarding against financial and reputational loss.
• Oversee interest calculations for short‑term and long‑term deposits linked to ADX‑listed companies.
• Support non‑financial transactions for Issuer Services, Custody Business, and Asset Management.
• Verify account opening documents, static data amendments, and ensure data accuracy in the core system.
• Perform daily reconciliations of custody client cash and securities positions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of banking operations, accounting controls, and risk management.
• Experience with core banking systems and transaction settlement processes.
• Ability to analyse technical documentation and develop testing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
