Specialist Consultant Interventional Radiologist (American Board) – UAE

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Specialist or Consultant in Interventional Radiology to join a reputable healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will hold an internationally recognised qualification such as American Board Certification and will be licensed to practice in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive, image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and other advanced imaging modalities.
• Diagnose and manage vascular and non‑vascular conditions, including angiography, angioplasty, embolisation, vascular access, image‑guided biopsies, drainages and catheter placements.
• Assess patients pre‑procedure, obtain informed consent, develop treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams and monitor patients during and after interventions.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, patient safety standards and UAE clinical regulations.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in Radiology with specialist training in Interventional Radiology.
• American Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology with an Interventional Radiology fellowship, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification.
• Relevant post‑qualification experience and eligibility for Specialist or Consultant classification under DHA, DOH or MOHAP.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.

Required skills

• Fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT imaging expertise.
• Proficiency in angiography, angioplasty and embolisation techniques.
• Experience with image‑guided biopsies, tumour ablation, drainages and catheter placements.
• Strong procedural judgment and ability to manage complex cases and complications.
