Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant / Specialist Psychiatrist to join a reputable healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care within a multidisciplinary, patient‑centered environment. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide spectrum of mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and clinical evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage diverse mental health and psychiatric disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs.
• Provide medication management, monitor response, and manage side effects.
• Deliver appropriate psychotherapy and counseling within scope of practice.
• Assess acute psychiatric presentations and determine treatment or referral.
• Evaluate suicide and self‑harm risk and implement safety plans.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, social workers, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, audits, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Relevant post‑specialization clinical experience.
• DHA license or eligibility (preferred).
• Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and a patient‑centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
