Specialist Draughtsman – Harness

About the role

EDGE Group is looking for an experienced Specialist Draughtsman – Harness to design, develop and release complex electrical harness systems for high‑reliability platforms. The role combines 3D CAD modelling, product lifecycle management and strict engineering drawing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex 3D electrical harness assemblies using Creo Harness/Cabling, ensuring compliance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Produce and manage manufacturing documentation, including harness drawings, wire lists, bills of materials (BOMs), installation drawings and technical data packages.
• Control engineering changes, revisions and configurations through Windchill PDM/PLM while adhering to BS8888, ISO standards and company processes.
• Support integration, verification and continuous improvement of electrical harness systems within complex electro‑mechanical platforms.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo Harness/Cabling and strong experience with Windchill PDM/PLM and configuration management.
• 8–15 years of electrical harness design and CAD modelling experience, preferably in defence, aerospace or other high‑reliability industries.
