Specialist, Drilling (Coiled Tubing)

About the role

The Specialist, Drilling (Coiled Tubing) will lead and manage lump‑sum turnkey campaigns for unconventional drilling and testing activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. This role supports the Biogenic Shallow Gas project and works closely with exploration and reservoir teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set and manage the scope of work for lump‑sum turnkey campaigns, including unconventional drilling (UBD, MLT, multi‑stage frac) and rig scheduling.
• Lead integrated project management teams of service companies to execute ADNOC Exploration biogenic gas wells.
• Approve drilling programs, well plans, and AFE documents, and define full field development plans in collaboration with petroleum, reservoir and petrophysics engineers.
• Supervise and coordinate all drilling activities, train staff, and ensure compliance with company and international standards.
• Provide budget inputs, monitor cost variances, and prepare MIS and progress reports for management.
• Maintain HSE compliance, implement policies and procedures, and drive continuous improvement of operational processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in drilling and workover engineering and operations, preferably with OPCOs in the UAE.
• Hands‑on experience with both offshore and on‑shore rig activities.
• Proven track record leading drilling teams and managing business planning for wells and drilling operations.
• Experience with new drilling technologies such as UBD, MPD, CTD and ERD.
