Specialist – Drilling (Coiled Tubing)

About the role

Set and manage lump‑sum turnkey campaign scope of work, overseeing unconventional drilling and testing activities such as UBD, MLT and multi‑stage fracturing. Responsible for project cost control and rig schedule coordination within ADNOC Exploration’s Biogenic Shallow Gas program.

Key responsibilities

• Report and update drilling and well‑operations activities to ensure conformity with plans and program milestones.
• Lead and direct the Drilling Integrated Project Management teams of assigned service companies to execute Biogenic Gas wells.
• Endorse and approve drilling programs, well plans and AFE for the subject wells.
• Define full field development plans in close collaboration with petroleum, reservoir and petrophysics engineers.
• Supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Provide input for budget preparation, monitor variances and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Implement company and international policies, standards and procedures.
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and sustainability guidelines.
• Prepare MIS and progress reports for company management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in drilling/work‑over engineering and operations, preferably with UAE OPCOs.
• Experience on both offshore rigs and office‑based drilling projects.
• Hands‑on experience with new drilling technologies (UBD, MPD, CTD, ERD).
• Professional user of drilling software; Landmark package preferred.
• Proven track record leading drilling teams in operations or engineering.
