Specialist General Surgeon

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is looking for an experienced Specialist General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care, including the diagnosis, treatment and management of a wide range of general surgical conditions. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with general surgical conditions
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures
• Manage conditions of the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, hernias, gallbladder, appendix and soft tissues
• Carry out preoperative evaluations and develop surgical treatment plans
• Provide postoperative care and monitor patient recovery
• Manage surgical emergencies and complications
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses and other specialists
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinical standards
• Educate patients and families about treatment options, procedures and recovery plans

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent internationally recognized primary medical qualification
• Master's degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in General Surgery
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred
• Proven experience in elective and emergency general surgical procedures
