About the role
University Hospital Sharjah is seeking a Specialist ICU Doctor to join its Intensive Care Unit, a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary facility providing care to critically ill patients. The role sits within the Clinical Services and is key to establishing services at international standard and meeting accreditation requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff
- Conduct ward rounds at least once daily, and with the consultant when required
- Prepare for and take part in consultant and senior staff rounds
- Keep daily records of inpatient progress and follow up patients
- Follow up investigation results and adjust treatment and management accordingly
- Prepare patients for procedures or surgery where applicable
- Obtain patient informed consent
- Receive calls and see patients from the Emergency Department and specialty clinics
- Handle consultation requests from other departments or hospitals
Required profile
- M.B.Ch.B (M.B.B.S.) degree
- At least 3 years of clinical experience after completing internship
- UAE Ministry of Health license
