Specialist Internal Medicine – UAE National

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Region is seeking a qualified Specialist in Internal Medicine who is an UAE national. The role involves delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings while leading clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise delivery of evidence‑based internal medicine care.
• Conduct patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe treatments, and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Oversee and train junior medical staff, including residents and general practitioners.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Document clinical information accurately and comply with hospital, DOH, and infection‑control policies.
• Participate in clinical audits, peer review, and risk‑management initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring informed consent.

Required profile

• Education: MBBS or equivalent plus structured specialty training (Board certification, Fellowship, or Royal College) and a postgraduate degree (MD, MS, DNB).
• Experience: 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical practice in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Licensing: Valid or eligible DOH (Abu Dhabi) licence, including primary source verification, DOH exam (unless exempted), and a good‑standing certificate.
• Nationality: UAE national required.
