Specialist – IT Governance & Risk (2‑Year Contract)

About the role

The Specialist – IT Governance & Risk will ensure that IT processes, services and operations align with business objectives, regulatory requirements and best practices. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role supports the client’s IT department in managing risk, compliance and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an IT governance framework, including policies, processes, guidelines and KPIs.
• Design and operate an IT risk assessment framework, conduct risk assessments, and produce risk reports for management.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensure corrective actions, and maintain compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 20000, Cyber Security Council, TDRA and other regulations.
• Create long‑term IT roadmaps, identify emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Oversee projects that improve IT governance, risk management, compliance and business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, CCSK are highly desirable.
• Proven experience with IT governance frameworks, risk management methodologies and regulatory compliance standards.
• Project‑management experience, preferably with a recognized methodology certification.
