Specialist Periodontist (Western Qualified) – Private Hospital

About the role

A leading private hospital in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Western‑qualified Specialist Periodontist to join its multidisciplinary dental team. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive periodontal care, ranging from preventive services to advanced surgical and implant procedures, while adhering to international clinical standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough periodontal and peri‑implant examinations and diagnose diseases of varying complexity.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical and radiographic findings.
• Perform non‑surgical procedures such as scaling, root surface debridement, and maintenance therapy.
• Carry out advanced periodontal surgeries, soft‑tissue and regenerative procedures, and dental implant therapy.
• Manage peri‑implant mucositis and peri‑implantitis cases.
• Collaborate closely with prosthodontists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, endodontists, restorative dentists, and hygienists to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and comply with hospital and regulatory policies.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, treatment options, and post‑treatment care.

Required profile

• Western dental qualification with specialist training in Periodontology.
• Valid UAE license to practice dentistry.
• Proven experience in comprehensive periodontal care, including surgical and implant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence‑based practice.
