Specialist – Settlement Services

About the role

The Specialist Settlement Services role is responsible for monitoring and processing settlement transactions across domestic, regional and international markets. You will ensure high‑quality client service delivery while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily settlement processes for equities, mutual funds, fixed income, ETFs, securities lending/borrowing and short‑selling.
• Validate client, market and sub‑custodian instructions and ensure timely matching and settlement.
• Communicate with clients, counterparties, regulators, brokers and other stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure smooth settlement flow.
• Review cash and FX settlements, reconcile positions, and sign off vouchers for senior approval.
• Participate in system upgrades, process enhancements and project initiatives related to settlement operations.
• Maintain controls, monitor KPIs/KRIs and support risk‑management activities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of settlement processes and market conventions.
• Ability to handle complex, high‑value transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external parties.
• Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging for settlement instructions.
• Experience in cash and FX settlement processing.
