Specialist - Technical Services

About the role

Join Aldar Retail Management as a Specialist in Technical Services, supporting the implementation of technical service strategies across large‑scale retail and mixed‑use assets in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the mall’s complete HVAC system and approve modifications within tenant areas.
• Manage other MEP systems including BMS, vertical transportation, fire alarm/firefighting, and general building infrastructure.
• Scope, review and evaluate Hard & Soft FM service tenders, providing technical input during contract negotiations.
• Assist in facility operations, fit‑out delivery, CAPEX budgeting and asset register maintenance.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance policies are adhered to and maintain service provider relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical/operational Hard & Soft FM roles, preferably in large mixed‑use developments or shopping malls.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a structured approach.

Required skills

• HVAC system design, operation and optimisation.
• Building Management Systems (BMS) and other MEP systems.
• Fire alarm and firefighting system knowledge.
• Vendor management and FM contract tendering.
• Fit‑out coordination, building compliance and asset lifecycle planning.
