Specialist Vascular Surgeon – Abu Dhabi

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking a Specialist Vascular Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary surgical team. The position offers a tax‑free salary package and the chance to work with modern facilities serving a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage arterial, venous and peripheral vascular conditions.
• Perform vascular procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombectomy, varicose vein surgery and vascular access creation.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, obtain informed consent and develop treatment plans.
• Provide post‑operative care, monitor for complications and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with interventional radiology, cardiology, general surgery, oncology, nephrology and critical care teams.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging including Doppler ultrasound and CT angiography.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Vascular Surgery (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College, Arab Board, etc.).
• Strong clinical judgement, commitment to patient safety and evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to adapt to UAE licensing, documentation standards and hospital governance.

Required skills

• Vascular surgical techniques: angioplasty, stenting, thrombectomy, varicose vein procedures, vascular access creation.
• Diagnostic imaging interpretation: Doppler ultrasound, CT angiography.
