About the role
The Specialist will lead the development, implementation and enforcement of petroleum product regulations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with national and international standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and review regulatory frameworks governing handling, storage, distribution and sale of petroleum products.
- Monitor compliance across the petroleum supply chain, conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders, government agencies and regulatory bodies to align policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training on regulations and safety practices.
- Analyze market trends and update regulatory policies accordingly.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience regulating trade, storage, transportation and handling of petroleum products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum engineering or equivalent.
Required skills
- Regulatory framework development and implementation.
- Inspection, audit and risk assessment of petroleum facilities.
- Technical guidance and training on safety practices.
- Stakeholder collaboration with government and industry bodies.
