Sports Cashier – Retail Operations

About the role
The Sports Cashier will manage cash transactions and provide exceptional service to customers in the sports retail area. The role focuses on maximizing sales opportunities while ensuring accurate handling of cash, vouchers and promotional offers.
Key responsibilities
- Update product prices regularly in the system.
- Count cash after the last customer leaves the showroom.
- Conduct security checks on currency, credit cards and cheques when required.
- Remove security tags from purchased garments and items.
- Advise customers on gift vouchers and promotional concepts.
- Maintain responsibility for the security of the designated till and valuables.
- Provide pricing information and answer customer queries.
- Count cash drawers at the start of shifts to ensure correct amounts and adequate change.
- Follow close‑down procedures for the till at the end of trading.
Required profile
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant retail or cashier experience.
- Product and brand knowledge in the sports sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Customer‑service orientation.
