Sr. Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Estimation Engineer will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and budgets for a range of construction projects, supporting the delivery of landmark developments such as Burj Azizi and the Azizi Venice master community. The role involves close collaboration with design, planning, procurement and commercial teams to ensure cost‑effective project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, MEP and other project drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for various construction trades.
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on quantities, material, labour, plant, subcontractor costs and market rates.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and prepare unit rate build‑ups.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions and potential cost risks in tender documents and propose mitigation.
• Prepare tender summaries, comparative statements and preliminary budgets for management review.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical rates and benchmark data.
• Assist in preparing value engineering proposals and cost‑saving alternatives.

Required profile

• BE or B.Sc in Civil Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of experience in construction cost estimation.
• Hands‑on site experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of labour productivity costing and MEP system requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Candy Software for cost estimation.
• Experience preparing value engineering proposals.
• Ability to develop BOQs and unit rate calculations.
• Knowledge of MEP system estimation.
