Staff Nurse – Clinical Trials Unit

About the role

The Staff Nurse in the Clinical Trials Unit provides direct patient care, education and coordination of nursing services within a research environment. The role supports the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based care while adhering to SSMC’s mission, vision and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs.
• Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to policy.
• Monitor patient responses, modify care plans as needed, and ensure accurate documentation in health records.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and maintain compliance with professional codes of conduct.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Experience in clinical trial settings or acute care environments.
• Strong ability to assess, prioritize and manage patient needs.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and ethical standards.
