Staff Nurse – Gynecology Emergency Unit

About the role

The Staff Nurse in the Gynecology Emergency Unit provides comprehensive nursing care, patient and family education, and coordinates transitions of care within SSMC. The role ensures delivery of age‑appropriate, evidence‑based care in line with Abu Dhabi’s professional nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to identify patient diagnoses and potential risks.
• Develop and document individualized, culturally appropriate care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational protocols.
• Continuously evaluate patient response, modify care plans as needed, and ensure accurate documentation in the health record.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and maintain adherence to professional codes of conduct.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for gynecological emergencies.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, ethical standards and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Evidence‑based assessment techniques.
• Medication administration and procedural skills.
• Documentation using standardized nursing terminology.
