Staff Nurse (Sakina)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver age‑appropriate patient care in line with Abu Dhabi’s nursing scope of practice and professional code of conduct. The role involves direct clinical care, health education, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, conflict management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Promote interdisciplinary teamwork based on mutual respect and clear communication.
• Identify, manage and report incidents to supervisors and physicians as required.
• Act as a role model, mentor and preceptor for junior nursing staff.
• Supervise practical nurses, midwives, junior staff and student nurses to ensure safe patient care.
• Manage resources efficiently within a cost‑effective framework.
• Perform in‑charge duties when delegated.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care according to organizational policies.
• Complete documentation promptly and navigate the Malaffi health information system accurately.
• Use individualized care plans, discharge planning and measurable daily goals.
• Escalate clinical deterioration using early warning scoring tools and SEHA policies.
• Assess and manage pain in compliance with BE guidelines.
• Prioritize care based on ongoing patient assessments and refer when necessary.
• Advocate for patients’ rights, dignity and cultural sensitivities.

Required profile

• Valid nursing license recognized by Abu Dhabi regulatory authorities.
• Strong critical‑thinking, conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to mentor, precept and supervise junior staff.
• Commitment to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct and organizational values.
• Accountability for personal practice and adherence to evidence‑based care.
• Respect for cross‑cultural differences and ability to work in a diverse environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in using the Malaffi health information system.
