Staff Nurse – Stroke Unit (Tower D6 A)

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower D6 A provides comprehensive nursing care for stroke patients, coordinating direct care, education, and transitions. The role supports professional nursing practice across the care continuum while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based care plans with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Implement and modify individualized care plans, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to policies.
• Document all care activities, outcomes, and plan modifications using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Registered nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Accountable for coordinating nursing care, patient/family education, and care transitions.
• Commitment to professional nursing standards, the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct, and SSMC’s values.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
