Staff Nurse – Tower D6 A (Stroke)

About the role

The Staff Nurse will work in Tower D6 A, providing specialised care for stroke patients at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. This full‑time position involves direct patient care, education of patients and families, and coordination of care transitions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate nursing care in accordance with the UAE Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Coordinate patient care plans, ensuring smooth transitions between acute, rehabilitation and community services.
• Provide education and support to patients, families and caregivers about stroke management and recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
• Demonstrated experience in acute care, preferably in stroke or neurological units.
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients and families.
• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City.
