Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical foundation of a strategic digital platform in Abu Dhabi. The role offers high ownership, broad scope, and deep architectural impact within a regulated, integration‑heavy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of core platform services, APIs, frontend applications, dashboards and internal tools.
• Build full‑stack solutions spanning backend systems, user experiences, workflow logic and integrations.
• Design orchestration and workflow logic across services, vendors, business processes and external systems.
• Drive integration architecture with third‑party platforms, enterprise systems, identity providers and financial services.
• Collaborate with product, design, security, business and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Define and improve engineering standards for architecture, code quality, testing, observability, security and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI‑native engineering practices.
• Contribute to long‑term platform strategy, including build‑versus‑buy decisions and maintainability.

Required profile

• Eight or more years of software engineering experience, including senior or staff‑level work on complex distributed platforms.
• Strong full‑stack background with experience building and operating production systems.
• Proven ability to work in ambiguous environments and influence architecture.
• Experience with modern software development practices and AI‑native tooling.

Required skills

• Backend languages: Java, Go, Python, Node.js.
• Frontend frameworks: React, Next.js (or similar).
• Service‑oriented or microservices architectures.
• API design, event‑driven systems and workflow orchestration.
• Integration with third‑party platforms, identity providers and financial systems.
