Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack

About the role

AI71 is building enterprise‑grade AI and data platform software for regulated, mission‑critical environments. As a Staff Full‑Stack Engineer you will set technical direction across both frontend and backend for a critical platform area, owning services and UI surfaces while mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture for a critical platform area, covering API/service design and frontend consumption.
• Lead major technical decisions such as framework choices, data models, deployment patterns, and design‑system direction.
• Mentor senior engineers across frontend and backend, raising the engineering bar across multiple teams.
• Drive cross‑team initiatives to improve reliability, security, developer velocity, and UI quality.
• Partner with product and design on multi‑quarter technical and UX strategy, ensuring support for both SaaS and on‑prem models.

Required profile

• 10+ years of full‑stack engineering experience with architectural ownership.
• Strong system design expertise in either backend (distributed systems, API architecture) or frontend (component and rendering architecture at scale) and credible fluency in the other.
• Proven mentorship record and ability to lead major technical initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Experience delivering platforms that run in managed SaaS and on‑premises/air‑gapped environments.
