Stakeholder Manager - Transport & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for an experienced Stakeholder Manager to support the delivery of major transport and infrastructure projects across Dubai and the UAE. The role leads stakeholder engagement, authority coordination and approvals management through the design lifecycle, acting as the main interface between project teams, government authorities, utility providers, developers and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run stakeholder engagement and communications strategies for Dubai projects
• Identify, analyse and manage stakeholders throughout design delivery
• Act as key contact for authorities, utility providers and transportation agencies
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, technical reviews and coordination sessions
• Coordinate authority submissions, reviews, comments and approvals
• Maintain stakeholder registers, approval trackers, communication records and engagement reports
• Monitor commitments, action items, risks and dependencies, and resolve issues and conflicts
• Support risk management and ensure compliance with authority requirements and regulations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, Urban Planning, Infrastructure or Project Management engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in stakeholder management
• Proven experience on major transport and infrastructure projects, including the design and engineering phases
• Demonstrated experience with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)
• Dubai project experience is required; previous experience in an international engineering consultancy is highly desirable
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; fluent Arabic and English is strongly preferred
