About the role
A steward is needed in Dubai to keep service ware clean, maintain kitchen cleanliness and support event delivery. The role involves daily cleaning, stock monitoring and reporting of hazards and maintenance needs.
Key responsibilities
- Clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils, scrub pots and pans and polish silver
- Monitor stock levels so supplies and equipment stay well stocked and organised
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness through mopping and waste removal
- Prepare and set up clean service ware for banquets and functions
- Handle hazardous substances safely and follow hygiene and safety regulations
- Alert the supervisor on duty about safety concerns or equipment issues
- Share expertise with new team members to help them get up to speed
Required profile
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to communicate in English
