Stewarding Shift Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Stewarding Shift Leader to oversee the daily cleaning and dish‑washing operations at our Aloft hotel in Abu Dhabi. In this role you will coordinate a team of utility cleaners, ensure high standards of hygiene across the kitchen, food‑and‑beverage and laundry areas, and maintain a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule cleaning staff during each shift.
• Operate and maintain dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Ensure all dining ware, kitchen equipment and linens are cleaned to hotel standards.
• Transport dishware and linens throughout the property, handling items up to 50 lb.
• Monitor safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and enforce company policies.
• Maintain positive relationships with other departments to support overall hotel operations.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience in stewarding or hospitality needed.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Willingness to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dish‑washing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
