Stewarding Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor leads the stewarding team at SLS Dubai, a 5‑star luxury hotel within the Accor portfolio. This role ensures that all food‑service areas, equipment and supplies are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain hygienic cleanliness of work areas, equipment and supplies, and control inventory to minimise breakage and loss.
• Schedule and oversee daily, weekly and periodic cleaning of food production outlets, dishwashing machines and related equipment.
• Monitor chemical consumption, ensure proper sanitation in staff areas and enforce fire, hygiene and safety policies.
• Conduct monthly equipment inventories, initiate requisitions for cleaning materials and manage waste reduction.
• Audit and inspect F&B areas, coordinate with Engineering for maintenance of machinery and food‑processing equipment.
• Supervise and evaluate stewarding staff performance, handle training, rosters, overtime requests and disciplinary actions.
• Control release of equipment for banquet and outside catering, and ensure compliance with municipal food‑hygiene regulations.
• Communicate effectively with guests, management and other departments to promote the hotel’s image.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of management experience in a hotel or accredited restaurant environment.
• One to two years in a public‑contact position, preferably within an upscale or lifestyle‑brand hotel.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
