Store and Purchase Assistant

About the role

The Store and Purchase Assistant supports smooth store operations and efficient procurement within our organization. Working closely with the purchasing manager, you will help maintain optimal stock levels, ensure timely deliveries, and contribute to cost‑effective purchasing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organize inventory to keep store operations running smoothly.
• Assist the purchase manager in planning and executing procurement processes.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report on inventory status.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate required reports.
• Work with accounting to process and verify purchase orders and invoices.
• Research potential suppliers and help evaluate their performance.
• Assist in negotiating purchase agreements and terms with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Resolve delivery issues, defects, and returns with vendors.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of store procedures and policies.
• Assist in store layout management to optimize space and efficiency.

Required profile

• Previous experience in store operations or purchasing (preferred).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving aptitude.
• Knowledge of store management best practices and procurement processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong analytical skills to assess inventory needs and purchasing trends.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with purchase order software.
