Strategy & Commercial Analyst

About the role

As a member of the Strategy & Commercial team at Bayut.com, you will own end‑to‑end workstreams that turn ambiguous business questions into actionable insights. You will collaborate with vertical commercial leads, pricing specialists and revenue operations to drive growth across Bayut and dubizzle marketplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of strategic workstreams, transforming vague challenges into clear, revenue‑driving solutions.
• Extract, clean and model complex datasets, building financial and operational models to quantify impact.
• Combine quantitative analysis with qualitative market research and frontline conversations to identify new revenue opportunities.
• Analyse pricing structures, product packaging, customer acquisition, retention and sales performance, providing actionable recommendations.
• Develop data‑backed perspectives on market dynamics and present insights confidently to leadership.
• Partner with commercial leaders, pricing specialists, Revenue Operations and sales teams to ensure execution of strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, economics or engineering discipline; advanced degrees or certifications in analytics are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in classifieds, e‑commerce or digital marketplaces.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage complex projects and deliver high‑quality analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to senior leadership.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for modelling and analysis.
• SQL for data extraction.
• Business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
