Structural Designer – Tekla Structures (Design)

About the role

Burjline Builders is looking for a Structural Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural steel detailing and 3D modelling within the Oil & Gas industry. Offshore project experience is highly preferred. The successful candidate will independently develop accurate structural models, fabrication drawings and material take-offs in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural models, fabrication drawings and material take-offs according to project specifications.
• Model pipe racks, equipment platforms, access platforms, stairways, ladders, handrails, gratings and offshore steel structures.
• Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and erection drawings.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Offs (MTO) and cutting lists.
• Interpret structural calculation reports and engineering design drawings.
• Carry out clash detection and coordinate with piping and mechanical teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel modelling and detailing for Oil & Gas projects.
• Experience with ADNOC specifications, AISC standards, ASTM materials and fabrication requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, drawing accuracy and fabrication feasibility.

Required skills

• Advanced Tekla Structures, including 3D modelling, connection detailing and drawing generation.
• Knowledge of steel connections, bolted and welded joints, base plates, stiffeners and structural detailing.
• AutoCAD.
