Structural Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join its Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The role involves supervising structural works on major infrastructure projects, ensuring that all construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, and local authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor structural construction activities on site, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, foundations and concrete structures.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals and other technical documentation.
• Conduct inspections, identify non‑conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor material quality and workmanship, and ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA and other authority standards.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and respond to RFIs, technical queries and inspection requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably on infrastructure projects.
• Proven consultancy supervision experience on major projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/Dubai codes, standards and authority requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
