Structural Engineer - STAAD PRO

About the role

Emesh Metal Manufacturing LLC, a provider of metal products such as expanded metal mesh, structural components, facades and cladding in the UAE, is looking for a Structural Engineer to join its team in Dubai. You will take part in the design, analysis and construction of structural elements for buildings and other structures, from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyze and construct structural elements, focusing on metal structures for stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum used in facades and cladding.
• Develop structural plans, specifications and calculations in line with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver calculations, drawings and deliverables on time.
• Prepare detailed specifications and coordinate with other departments, project leads and teams.
• Use STAAD PRO and FEM software to optimize structural designs.
• Keep up to date with UAE regulations and compliance policies for structural engineering.
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken English with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant STAAD PRO experience, preferably with exposure to the UAE market.
• Solid knowledge of metal structures (stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum).
• Experience with facade cladding and metal fit-out design is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations and compliance policies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; immediate availability preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in STAAD PRO (essential)
• Intermediate proficiency in FEM software is a plus
• English, written and verbal
