Supervisor – Cathodic Protection (MERAM LNG Inspection Team)

About the role

The Supervisor will lead the cathodic protection (CP) inspection team for the MERAM LNG pipeline, ensuring the integrity and continuous operation of CP systems across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily work orders, prioritize tasks based on production needs and assign work to the team.
• Evaluate new CP projects, drawings and documents, providing feedback to capture operational requirements accurately.
• Supervise and conduct CP inspections, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of CP systems by contractors to meet company specifications.
• Monitor and interpret IR drop and on‑off potential measurements, performing close‑interval potential surveys to detect non‑conformances.
• Track pipe‑to‑soil potentials on schedule and determine optimal power requirements for CP.
• Assess coating and wrapping deterioration trends to maintain protection efficiency.
• Generate computerized trend reports of potential and current drainage to support continuous operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cathodic protection monitoring, upgrading and inspection within the oil and gas industry.
