Supervisor, Cathodic Protection (MERAM/LNG - Inspection Team - Pipeline)

About the role

The Supervisor, Cathodic Protection will lead the monitoring, upgrading and inspection activities for pipeline cathodic protection systems within the MERAM/LNG inspection team. The role ensures continuous equipment performance and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily work orders, prioritize based on production needs and assign tasks to ensure timely service delivery.
• Evaluate new CP project documents and drawings, providing feedback to capture operational requirements accurately.
• Supervise and perform cathodic protection inspections and troubleshooting to maintain standards.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of CP systems by contractors, ensuring conformity with specifications.
• Monitor and interpret IR drop and on‑off potential, conduct close interval potential measurements, and alert superiors to non‑conformances.
• Track pipe‑to‑soil potential according to schedule and determine optimal power requirements.
• Analyze coating and wrapping deterioration trends to maximize protection efficiency.
• Generate computerized trend reports of potential/current drainage to support continuous operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cathodic protection monitoring, upgrading and inspection within the oil and gas industry.
