Supervisor, Rigging

About the role

ADNOC Refining is looking for a Rigging Supervisor in Abu Dhabi to supervise maintenance activities related to Rigging and Heavy Lifting. The role monitors work execution, guides teams to follow HSE requirements and works closely with the participating OPCOs (ADNOC Refining, ADNOC Fertilizers and Borouge) to deliver jobs efficiently, on time and safely. It also maintains and updates the maintenance program so equipment stays reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise assigned personnel on Rigging and Heavy Lift jobs and receive planned and ad hoc requests from the CMS Business Support Team.
• Review techniques, allocate assignments and give technical guidance; inspect completed work against defined procedures.
• Coordinate rigging and material handling activities and supervise heavy lifting, manual rigging and high-elevation field lifting.
• Monitor work execution and guide teams to comply with statutory, company and international standards.
• Review Rigging Plans with the Rigging Engineer and run daily and weekly safety toolbox talks with contractor teams.
• Ensure checklists for lifting activities and equipment are completed and signed off, and carry out regular site inspections for safe conditions, certified equipment and PPE use.
• Contribute to department budgets, investigate variances, implement approved policies and processes, and design new tools to improve efficiency.
• Comply with HSE policies, participate in emergency response, and provide inputs to Section MIS and progress reports.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience in Rigging and Heavy Lifting maintenance, preferably in a plant in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge of manual rigging, lifting procedures, plans and rigging techniques.
• Good communication of rigging signals to the crane operator.

Required skills

• Computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD.
• CMMS knowledge, report writing, presentation skills and teamwork.
