Supply Operator – Terminal/Depot Operations

About the role

The Supply Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of terminal and depot facilities. The role involves regular walk‑around inspections, overseeing loading and off‑loading of fuel, and supporting supervisors in product receipt, storage, and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of instruments, gauges, meters, loading racks, pump house and tank farm to identify hazards.
• Ensure tanks, pipelines and fittings are correctly positioned for loading/receiving and operate valves as instructed.
• Oversee loading and off‑loading operations, verify road tanker seals, handle loading arms and report any spillage or defects.
• Perform product draining, sampling and physical dip from storage tanks and vehicles, maintaining clean sampling equipment.
• Prepare and hand over checklists and data sheets to supervisors for review.
• Assist with refractor meter and Millipore tests, and record temperature and density of Jet‑A1 fuel at regular intervals.
• Carry out visual quality checks of oil samples and report findings.
• Monitor additive and dye injection systems, coordinate with third‑party vendors as needed.
• Comply with all HSSE policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Experience in terminal or depot fuel operations.
• Ability to follow strict HSSE procedures and safety guidelines.
• Attention to detail for inspections, sampling and documentation.
• Capability to work independently on‑site and support supervisors.
