System Administrator – Help Desk (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing cryptocurrency exchange, is looking for a System Administrator to join its modern Abu Dhabi office. You will be responsible for keeping workstations and servers running smoothly while delivering courteous, prompt help‑desk support to all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local servers, network devices and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain IT security, user permissions and access controls, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Set up new workstations, onboard employees and provide end‑user training.
• Collaborate with global IT teams on upgrades, projects and new technology roll‑outs.
• Monitor system performance, maintain documentation and handle software licensing, updates and patch management.
• Support backup and disaster‑recovery processes and respond to tickets via the help‑desk system.
• Liaise with third‑party vendors for hardware, software and support contracts.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in system administration or IT support.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
