System Security Engineer – Video Surveillance & Access Control

About the role

We are seeking a System Security Engineer to design, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade security platforms in Abu Dhabi. The role covers video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom systems across Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom solutions ensuring high availability and performance.
• Install, commission and support security hardware and software on both Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues and apply firmware and security updates.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and training materials.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Networking teams to safeguard data and network integrity.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of devices, software versions and license information.
• Assist project and operations teams with system design, upgrades, migrations and procurement.
• Manage maintenance contracts, track product lifecycle and ensure compliance with support agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or graduate of a technical school.
• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience, including at least 3 years as a security system engineer.
• Proven experience deploying, installing and maintaining enterprise video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom systems.

Required skills

• Video Surveillance platforms: Milestone, Genetec, Axxonsoft, Axis.
• Access Control platforms: Dormakaba, Salto, Lenel, Idemia/Morpho, Suprema, HID.
• Public Address & Intercom platforms: Bosch, Commend, Zenitel, Aiphone.
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) and hardware.
• Understanding of IP‑based security architectures, TCP/IP and network infrastructure.
• Ability to read technical manuals and configure network hardware/software.
