Tax Accountant / Auditor

About the role

Hotaru Holdings is looking for a Tax Accountant / Auditor to join its Accounts & Finance team in Dubai. The role covers tax compliance, internal audit support across several business entities and adherence to UAE financial regulations, including the implementation of UAE e-invoicing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Review sales transactions, cash records and operational expenses for accuracy.
• Conduct internal audit activities across multiple business locations.
• Assist with preparations for UAE e-invoicing implementation.
• Prepare tax reports and support financial compliance activities.
• Identify discrepancies in financial records and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and keep financial information confidential.
• Support internal controls and improve financial reporting processes.

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field is estimated to be relevant; the original advert does not state it as mandatory.
• Experience in taxation, auditing or financial accounting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and review financial records accurately.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, internal auditing, financial reporting and accounting controls.
• Familiarity with UAE e-invoicing requirements is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, reporting, organisational and communication skills.
