Tax Manager – Corporate Tax & Compliance

About the role
The Tax Manager will lead Crescent Group’s tax reporting and compliance across all jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to UAE and Iraq tax regulations. This senior role involves developing tax strategies, managing audits, and providing advisory support for transactions and restructuring.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT compliance, maintain trackers and manage monthly payments.
- Prepare and review tax returns, coordinate group tax reporting with authorities and auditors.
- Advise business units on tax implications of transactions, restructuring and bid proposals.
- Maintain and update transfer pricing documentation and support legal entity consolidations.
- Manage tax audits, assessments and respond to authority queries.
- Review and improve tax policies, processes and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate accounting of current and deferred taxes in ERP systems.
- Report to the Senior Director of Accounting & Reporting and liaise with finance, legal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- 8–10 years of tax experience, preferably in UAE and Iraq.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional certification (CA or ACCA).
- Strong knowledge of UAE ESR, VAT, Corporate Tax and IFRS.
- Proven analytical ability to interpret tax laws.

- S4/Hana (preferred)
- Power BI (advantageous)
