About the role

Jumeirah College is seeking an experienced Teacher of Business Studies & Economics to join its highly regarded department in Dubai. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to secondary students and contributing to the school’s reputation for academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Business Studies and Economics curricula in line with the National Curriculum for England.
• Develop innovative learning resources and enrichment activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall curriculum programme.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff development and school events.

Required profile

• B.Ed. or equivalent degree with PGCE/PGDE or comparable qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven record of outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
• Commitment to fostering high performance in all students.
• Ability to contribute to a rich, extracurricular curriculum.

Required skills

• Deep subject knowledge in Business Studies and Economics.
• Expertise in lesson planning, assessment design and delivery.
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
